Troy Dean Shafer
After earning his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Penn State University, Troy moved to Nashville, Tennessee to pursue a career in singing country music. Troy has "mostly" retired from music, and has become Nashville's premiere house flippper. His dedication to quality, and passion for real estate, brought Nashville Flipped to life. Troy's ambition, charisma, and creativity have contributed to the continuous growth and success of his business.
Evan Farmer Graduated Cum Laud from Tulane University in 1995 where he studied Architecture and Communication, a prophetic combination which led to him hosting one of the very first, Home-Make-Over-As-Entertainment themed shows to hit television: TLC’s (Emmy Nominated) “While You Were Out.”
He has since hosted several additional home-themed shows and TV specials for both HGTV and DIY Networks.
While Evan’s accessible personality and versatility has made him an in-demand host for non-makeover programs such as CMT’s “Top20 Countdown,” TLC’s “Rock and Roll Fantasy Camp” or WE TV’s “Bride versus Bride,” and even having starred in several TV shows and films as an actor, it’s when he’s in the “building-creating” element that he truly shines.
Having paid for his own education as a carpenter, handyman, and property manager, Evan’s unique background in design, combined with successful career in front of the camera for nearly 20 years makes him one of the few personalities who not only knows of what he speaks, but also walks the walk off camera.
In 2002, Evan and Architect Tom Grantham formed Renovolution, a New Orleans based firm specializing in revitalizing fringe area homes. In 2005 Renovolution has refocused efforts towards restoring historic Katrina-damaged homes back to their original glory.
Back at home in Tennessee, Evan is truly honored to be a part of Nashville Flipped, Tennessee’s premiere home flipping business averaging 5-10 full rehab flips per year, in addition to managing a growing rental portfolio of single family homes and duplexes.
Though Evan never became an architect himself, he never strayed far from his original passion; always preferring to swing a hammer than a pencil and preferring a job site/set to a cubical.
Having said that, in 2012 Evan did pick up a pencil (so-to-speak) and wrote Breaking In: The Formula For Success In Entertainment (foreword by Kristin Chenoweth), which he supports with speaking engagements across the country.
